A bit of yellow somewhere...POTD 3.18.07

Every once in a while I feel the need to get out my scrapbook supplies to get a little crafty. I love creating layouts, however most recently, I have tried my hand at some card making. These are just some real simple Thank You notes, but I like the way they turned out. Funny, but the blue against the brown is my new favorite color combination and it was discovered by just setting the cards somewhere to take a photo. Note the little hint of yellow, my favorite color. **Here's what I did** I have a double square punch with 2 sizes. I punched out the smaller shape and then, used my exacto knife to trace out the square because the punch would not go in that far (figures) Then...I took some white cardstock, )I used bazill, but I would not recomend it because it's texturized and my punch didn't do clean lines) and punched out the smaller square, then over it, the larger square to give that hollowed out square. I glued that over the hole and it made my little frame. I used Pima flowers and Making memories brads and glued the little flower inside. I used a stamp and embossing powder for the words.
