A warm, yellow glow. POTD 3.16.07
This was one of those "oops" shots. I was aiming to get the flame in focus, but the focus landed on the lip and I liked that one better. I love that when it happens. My SIL is a manager for Yankee Candle and she gets great discounts. Then, on top of that...when people return candles, she can buy them at an even steeper discount. I have a Yankee in every room of the home, some rooms even have more than one. I will admit that most of them are scents I would have never picked out, but...when you get them for such a deal, it's hard to pass up. The one in the picture is Sand & Surf, yielding a nice beachy scent. I love the warm yellow glow of the flame. Yellow can be sultry and sexy, don't you think?

Cool shot- I just learned about metering in my class tonight. I may need to try some candle shots in the dark... and about the "other thing" I responded to you on POTD. Thanks for the comment! This time last year I was miserable, huge, couldn't breathe, couldn't get out of bed and couldn't tie my shoes... amazing how much our little guys have grown in a year!

I have to tell you, when I read the words "beachy scent" I thought to myself...dead fish, wet dog and dirt. LOL I'm sure that isn't the scent recognition they were aiming for. LOL

Beautiful warm relaxing shot. I love yankee candles, too. They have sooooo many wonderful scents making it hard to choose. My most recent favorite is "clean cotton".
I love candles! I used to have them all over but with two children with ashtma I only keep them in my bedroom. I really like this shot. With the flame not in focus is gives it more of a romantic mood.
I too love that you got the rim in focus instead of the flame. Love this shot! It is very romantic!
