Mommy moments! POTD 6.23.07
Please indulge me...I'm having a day filled with mommy-moments and it's wonderful! I love watching my little A figure out how to turn on and off toys. I know it may sound simple, but it's amazing! I can sit, watching him hours (and sometimes I do;) He's had this drum for a long time, probably since he was 6months old. He knew how to drum on the top and make it "sing" but I've never really seen him go for the actual switch. The reason I knew he was controlling the switch happened when the drum started speaking in Spanish. I KNOW I didn't set it to the Spanish setting, so yup...confirmed switch toggling. I giggled, he giggled and we shared a moment. In this next shot, I love the relationship between my DH and my DS! Sometimes I just sit back and watch and this was one of those moments.

My little cousin brought this puzzle out for my nephew to play with. He decided he was more interested in running around, terrorizing people...so my little A went over to the puzzle. He began to take out the pieces, trying to put them back into the slots (eventhough he didn't know which one went where.) I loved watching his determination and tried to step in to help. Well...he was having nothing of it, pushing my hand away each time I tried to engage. My little guy is becoming independant and part of me really hates it, but the other part is so proud!
Ah yes...saved the best for last. My DS has a few security items and this little giraffe "nappy" is one of them. As he was playing in his room, he spotted his nappy in his crib. He went over to the crib and tried to get his giraffe through the slats. After a bit of struggle, he got nappy out and was a happy camper. Ah...just so sweet, I could not help but shed a tear (or two...)

WOW. I think this is what photography (and scrapbooking) is all about... it's capturing those little moments. I can feel your mommy pride, and it's well deserved! Excellent, flawless photos, as always!
Mommy moments are so special. I'm thinking that's what happened to me yesterday. You pictures are so crisp and so well-composed. I, too, especially love that last one. How incredibly sweet!
Awwwww! That was so sweet! You are so great at capturing all these "little" moments! Beautiful Job....as always!
These are just too sweet, the last one in particular just tugs at my heartstrings...
Isn't it fun to sit back and watch sometimes. Great photos capturing his little developing personality. I love the one of his chubby hand with the puzzle.
what incredibly sweet photos. love that last one! the conversion really pushes it over the edge into excellence.
So cute! Love the little baby fingers working the puzzle. I thought I'd answer your questions on my comments; Yeah, I live 500 miles away ~ I'm in NE Wyoming. I seem to come to Denver about once every few years (wish it was more!) Next time I come, I'll let you know. I was just there in April so it might be a little while! Yeah, I'm sooo jealous you live so close to an Archiver's. You should see the kind of stores we have to shop from ~ I mainly shop on the internet.
