This is baby N's Halloween costume although he never wore it for the actual date. He's sporting it a week late, but hey...at least I got him into it for a couple photos. His daddy works for Penguin Publishing, so we thought it was appropriate. More pics of baby to come...
Does this not look like a tanning bed for babies? That's the first thing I thought of when we went through this with little A 18months ago. Looks like baby brother is following in his footsteps. With our altitude here, it's not uncommon for babies to have jaundice that needs a little extra help leaving the body. If the levels are high enough, they will opt to put the baby on some photo therapy to get rid of the biliruben in their bodies. Baby N's levels were high enough, so he's under lights until his levels drop. We anticipate about another day or so and he'll be normal. Thankfully he does not mind the lights and actually probably likes the warmth they provide. I've been hesitant to take many newborn photos until he's off the lights completely though so that's why there have not been too many shots of N yet.

He is so precious Heather! My DS had to do the phototherapy thing too.... I always called him my little glow worm because he had to wear the light pad ALL the time under his clothes. Can't wait to see more pictures of little N!
