A little help from selective coloring. POTD 2-10-07



I'll confess right now...I'm not a fan of selective coloring. With that said...I think it works with this photo. I found the coloring from the window and background to be distracting, so...I tried to use selective coloring with it just for fun. Definitely not a frameworthy pic, but...with the selective coloring, I at least saved it from an untimely death. The first is the selective color try and the second is the original. Guess I have new respect for selective coloring...off to try other photos that were before...icky. Natural light, ISO 200, Ap 2.8, 24-70L.

yes! you did a great job on the coloring! the original was not too distracting but i definitely like what you did with it.

I agree, the selective coloring works for this pic. I'm going to have to give it a try for some flower pics.

I don't think that the original background was that distracting but the selecting coloring you did here really works well.
