Use your words! POTD 3.1.07
I have had magnetic poetry for a long time, love to create little love notes to DH on the fridge. As I was looking for a snack, inspiration hit me over the head...I would find different words that I felt described me for todays photo. Some are obvious, some are a little interpretive-much like poetry. I definitely broke the rule of thirds here, but it cried out to me to be squared, so I cropped it to a 6X6. Natural light, ISO 200, Ap 4.5. 85mm lens.

How cool is that with the word thingy! And how did you manage to shoot with the 85 lens??? You're doing GRRREAT! Your white words and background (fridge?board?)are pretty white to me which is a feat in its own. Keep up the good work and TFS!

Cool shot. I like the square crop with all the little rectangles, way to mix it up and break those rules.
This is a neat pic (even if you broke the law of thirds LOL). After all, in the words of Jack Sparrow, it's more like a guideline. :-) Nice and simple shot but really tells a lot.
Heather... how fun! Don't you know the rule of thirds is only to be followed when it applies... :-) Rules are meant to be broken, tested, re-written.... etc.

I like the square crop. You have such good ideas for your photos!When my boys were little, we used to practice their spelling words with magnetic letters on the refrigerator.
I too use Magnetic Poetry, but mine are on my fridge at the cottage. I'm much more inspired when I'm by the lake in the fresh air.
And as for breaking the rules...I say, GO FOR IT. Rules were meant to be broken!!!
