Bring on the SNOW! POTD 3.2.07

I'm one of the few people you will meet who does not like summer. Yup, it's true...I hate the heat! I enjoy layering up and wearing my "puffy coat" to get the mail. I get all tingly inside when I can see my breath, it just makes me happy. Because I'm a cold-blooded gal, I love snow sports. Skiing, sledding and most recently, snowshoeing. It's a lot of hard work, don't get me wrong...but oh so worth it! These are my snowshoes. I have a turquoise pair and DH has a red pair to match, just a little longer. I'm glad this is something we can enjoy together. As with anything, there are quality differences in the kind of showshoes available and someday soon, I'd love to get a pair of TUBBS (would be equivalent to the EOS MarkII Ds in digital talk) So...while people here in the US are looking forward to sun and tanning, I'm starting my yearly mourning. Thankfully here in Colorado, we still have several good months of winter weather left. These were all taken in natural light, ISO 200, Ap 3.2-8

Those are some cool shoes! Love the colors :) I have yet to ski in all my years. Although I may give in :) I needed a pair the last couple weeks with the weather here though!

I wouldn't mind having a little more snow around here, but not nearly as much as you guys get! These are great pics - love the color!

Great pics, the colors just pop. Good job on the WB with the snow, it's tough to get right. Sounds like you live in the right place for you. Only place better might be Alaska LOL. I love winter, just hate the bundling up though. It's fun getting to know you.

I'm sitting here watching the blizzard outside my window thinking..."you LIKE this stuff?" :)
I used to be a winter lover, but not any more. But that doesn't stop me from doing outdoor stuff. We too have snowshoes..and mine are Tubbs! We went out snowshoeing last weekend at the cottage! Nice winter shots, TFS.

I love the winter too! Love that snowy stuff, and layering up in crazy layers... we should live closer, I think :)
Love those blue snow shoes. that looks like it'd be fun.
Sadly, we're in the end of winter- we might have one or two more storms, but that's it. We've had a pathetic showing this year. We only had three significant snows, and only one was a good packing snow. Poor me...
As usual, your photos are beautiful.

Great shots, but...
YOU LIKE THE COLD???? Are ya crazy??? LOL

Give me sunshine, 80 degrees, low humidity, a tall glass of lemonade and a pool. Oh, and then don't move me for at least 6 months.

Me, I am a Texas gal and enjoy heat, but my favorite is weather in the 70's. I do love winter for a vacation, not a way of life. I enjoy downhill skiing and 2 years ago even tried cross country. Cool pics.

I love winter too, but not so much this year. No snow at all. bummer. But i also LOVE summer. I guess I just like all 4 seasons! I only wish we'd get some snow yet this year!!!!!
