The BIGGEST baby! POTD 5.24.07

This is Minniepaws (Minnie for short.) I won't get into why she was named Minniepaws in the first place, but...it has to do with a period of time, usually around the middle of a woman's life, ending in "pause." My MIL named her just in case that helps with the clue;)

Anyway...she is the biggest baby ever! She also gets toast daily and scraps of everything else. It's amazing how much her little body can consume. She's an Italian Greyhoud and all of 10 pounds maybe. I had to catch her sleeping to get any decent shots because she's as bad as a toddler, constantly on the move. She LOVES to play, bouncing to and fro. If you just look at her with that eye, she'll take off.

My MIL bought her a little sherpa coat for when it's cold outside and winter boots too. This year she's going to have her own Halloween costume (I'll be sure to get that on film.)

Minnie loves to sleep under the covers, inbetween both people. It's like she thrives on body heat. When you don't sleep with dogs and house sit...it takes a bit getting used to.

All quirks aside, she's a darling and we love her. Sadly, that's the end of the doggies. Guess I need to go shopping for our own now...are you reading/listening honey?

5 reasons I blog-I've been tagged.

1. Helps to fight boredom!

2. Keeps me communicating-I'm horrible at snail mail.

3. Makes me feel geeky and I like it.

4. I like a challenge, and the POTD challenge is one of the biggest online challenges I've taken on.

5. I enjoy meeting others, just like me.

Aww she's cute! and I just love the story behind her name.. too funny:) You know, if your DH doesn't go for a dog right now you could always do what I did and pick up a couple of turtles:) DS is just in heaven with those things! PS> I think my favorite may be the one of her on the couch w/ her "pet" sleeping behind her... I just love the DOF on that one..... buttered toast, now that's devotion!LOL

She is so cute! Love the pictures ~ esp. w/her snuggled up! The name is funny, too. You're not alone in the pet-less world! I'm using other's animals too.

What a little cutie, I love that first shot of her!

Thanks so much for all the nice comments you've made on my blog lately! In answer to some of your questions on my blog. No to Les Miserables. And you are correct, I don't use a flash when shooting in the theatre. Colin is considering a double major, musical theatre (if his college auditions go well), and international relations. The musical theatre part of it makes my DH and I VERY nervous, but we support him no matter what he chooses.

Your DH and his degree....is he a working singer?
