My A has a binkie! POTD 5.11.07
You tired of seeing my little A yet? he/he! My baby found a binkie that he LOVES! He has attached himself to this crocheted blue blanket and is not letting go anytime soon. No, I didn't make this one, but...it was because of this blanket, I decided to learn the stitch and make one of my own. I'm making a yellow one for the new baby since we don't know the sex yet. For sure at the next appointment in June. I can't wait!!
So...here is my question to all you seasoned parents out there? Do you think I should switch out his blankets so he does not have attachment to one particular binkie? Thanks in advance for all the opinions...have I mentioned how much I'm enjoying this POTD thread?
Oh...and guess what? I'll be gone for the next few days because I'll be in VEGAS baby!!!!

LOVE this shot. My DS attached himself to the burp rags - cloth diapers! Luckily, it wasn't just one particular "ba-ba" so I can buy more and he's happy! Maybe you can switch them out often and he'll attach to the feel of it and then maybe any one like it will do? Your little guy is so cute I can't hardly stand it sometimes! Have fun on your trip!
Wait a minute, didn't you just come back from Florida? You lucky duck ~ I'd love to go to Vegas ~ more specifically the grand canyon. As far as switching them out, I would! If you ever lose, or leave the important one behind and don't have a backup the world will come to a stand-still! My mom had to drive 30 miles @ 11pm a week ago to give my son his beloved stuffed doggie! Great shot!
He is just the cutest!!!! I say, if you can get away with switching the blanket, do it. I only had one serious "blanket baby", and she loved it to shreds. At about 18 months, we made a "blanket stays home" rule because it was so tattered. I still have it in my bedside drawer. You just gave me an idea for a photo. Thanks. :)
Your little guy is just so precious!! Definitely switch out the blankets. I love Vegas (got married there). Have a great time!
Beautiful picture. I wouldn't worry so much about the blankets as I would the binkies. Everyone has a different opionion on binkies and I could give you a novel on my experience between the 5 kids. but, I'll spare you. My dd gave hers to the "binkie fairy" for her second birthday - pretty cool, she never used one again :) And I had a favortie blanky growing up - probably until I was age 10! It was in rags before that thing dissappeared. And - awesome pictures and cake from yesterday. HOw talented to be able to make a cake like that - just gorgeous. And have fun in Vegas baby!
Sweet photo. I love the angle. I wouldn't switch out the blankets. Both of mine never did "attach" to any one thing and I always wished they had something other than "Mama" to give them comfort. And - you're lucky your's has picked something so beautiful to attach to!
Such a cute photo, the lighting in your photos always seems so great. I have trouble with that. Is he peeking over his crib rail? I never switched blankets with my little ones, but not a bad idea, in case you lose one. Have fun in Vegas-we expect to see some colorful pics. Are you going to any shows?
So stinkin cute! Yep- I would have back-up... DS has 2 of the same dog/blanket thingy- One at my moms and one at home- I'm thinking of getting some more and just having them everywhere!
