Childhood texture. POTD 6.28.07
Thank you all so much for your wonderful comments yesterday! It was so nice to read through all the posts-I feel I have so many friends out there in cyber space. Here are some fast facts for anyone who is interested.
- I am just about 6 months along.
- My due date is constantly being adjusted. Baby will come sometime in October...hopefully early October.
- I will be induced about 2 weeks early, due to medical history.
- The boys will be about 17months apart if all goes according to plan.
- We are still debating a name, but I like Christoper Charles (my brothers middle name is Charles.)
I like answersing questions, so anytime you've got one...I'll try to give answers;)My DH has this doll that his grandma made for him when he was a little tike. I was going through A's nursery...preparing to make room for Baby #2, when I stumbled upon his doll. As I looked at it, I realized what great texture it had to it and just had to take a photo. I know nothing about fabric or sewing, yet own a nice sewing machine passed down from my mom. I am now motivated to pick up a new skill and all from a doll, about 30 years old. I used my macro lens for this, there is something about it that really emphasizes textures.

You can really see some great texture on the 3rd picture! Love all the fun colors.
See, I've been wishing for a macro all week! I had to cheat a little on my textures, oh well! Great texture and colors! And I didn't get to say congrats on the boy yesterday! My two youngest are boys...5 and 2 and they are starting to wonder off and do boy things, so fun! And about your comment on my dd being too old in the pose, I thought the same thing, only it was all her! And it was a "hurry, snap it and lets get home" pose! Funny
heather... i love your shot today! SO full of textures! Great job!!
Oh, and I love your banner. Those M&M dudes are too cute and colorful!
loving that fabric! such great colors. and the name Christopher has my vote! that is my youngest's name, although he is Christopher Jerry in honor of my dad Jerry. never did get around to calling him CJ though.
These are wonderful texture photos! On my wishlist...Macro Lens LoL-
I really love these shots!
Love these shots! WOw all the color is amazing!
AND I am SO thrilled about your new little boy on the way! I really wanted another boy about that far apart to rough house and play fort with DS. Congrats!!!
Love the name Christopher, it's my older brothers' name. Great texture photographs and I am finally replying to this ~ I AM so jealous that you live 7 minutes from an Archiver's:)
Loving those fabrics. They really tell a story, don't they?
Is this one of those little "yo-yo" dolls that look like a clown? I love the color and print of the vintage fabric and the texture really shows up when using the macro lens.
I like the name Christopher Charles. Sounds very "grown-up"! My nephew is expecting a boy and they plan to name him Charles and call him Charlie.
Cool weave texture in the last shot. Crisp colours too.
My kids are 17.5 months apart, planned that way, and I have never regretted that decision. They are now 13 and 14.5 and get a long fabulously [most of the time].
I love the shot of your little one w/his book.
