Falling in love again... POTD 2-15-07

There is NOTHING like a sleeping baby. I don't care what attitude they just got done popping...once they go to sleep, it's like all wrongs have been erased! I'm having fun with this week mainly because I take way too many pics of my family and this gives me an actual excuse for doing so. It is also giving me an excuse for getting out my lenses and falling in love with each one over again. This is my macro and I'm quickly remembering why I love it. Funny how we go through seasons. Wonder if I'll ever fall in love with my kit lens again? I've never been able to just get rid of it...maybe I'll bring it out tomorrow and dust it off. I would encourage you to try something you have not tried for a while, you may be surprised. Whether it's a lens, a location, or what not...let that challenge you like it has me. These were taken in natural light, ISO 200, varied SS. Ap 3.2, Macro 100 lens. Amandas (peawithme) creamy bnw action with warmth set to 50% opacity. Love that touch of warmth, something very different for me.

What a beautiful baby & I agree that they are so innocent when sleeping! I think it's amazing the difference it makes by just changing the angle of the shot. I especially love the little hand in focus with the sleeping face in the back! Good stuff!

You are so right about a sleeping baby, mines almost 12 now and still feel that way about him when he's sleeping. Definitly one of the best mommy feelings in the world.

These are soooo wonderful, can't say which one I like the best. The one with his hand in focus is incredible.

These are so sweet. I like the black and whites. Oh, I hope you want cc, have you tried the noiseware on these? Theyh are great as they are - just thought that might give it a little more smoothness to the baby skin.

These are so beautiful, you never think you could love something like you love your children. I just want to watch them all the time when they are sleeping!! So precious!
I got my kit lens out the other day, and was so thankful for the DOF that my 50 gives me!

These are beautiful. I LOVE the eyelashes, and the focused hand shot. I think I'm going to have to sneak in during my little one's naptime tomorrow.

Wow, absolutely awesome Heather. Just love a sleeping baby. Great DOF on these. I think the B&W goes perfectly with them. Color would have detracted from the pics.
