I'll start with the oldest. POTD 5.21.07
IF there were ever a dog who didn't think they were a dog...
meet Raven. She's a pure breed standard poodle who is not really a dog at all, more like a sister (at least she likes to think so.) She gets hand-fed, lightly buttered toast, EVERY morning. She crawls on your lap as if she were only a few pounds, when in reality...about 65! She can't stand when you leave, but is thrilled when you come back-and I mean T.H.R.I.L.L.E.D. She'll BEG to be pet and put her nose in your way so you're forced to obey. It's like she has this power over you that you can't resist. She's the single most sweetest dog I've EVER met and I've known my share of sweet canines.
Raven is getting old and according to her breed, has outlived the lifespan of a typical standard. She's had/beaten cancer several times and lately, been fighting mulitple eye infections. We all know her days are numbered, but are thankful that she's still around and don't like to think about life without her around. I wish I could say Raven was our dog, but...she's my in-laws, I just like to pretend.
I did a little vintage action on that first one, trying to make it look a little older-but...gotta love that bright red chair! My MIL is obsessed with everything RED!

I love how the action in the first shot softened the red chair. But the second shot is great. Cool chair and cute dog! Man I can't wait to have a pet again. I miss having a dog in the house. TFS
What a sweetie dog! I have such soft heart for dogs! The pictures make me want to love her to pieces!
I like both shots myself. Dogs are so loyal and loveable. I miss mine! Even though she's gone, I'll be posting anbout her this week.

So sweet, we had a miniature poodle that looked a alot like this:) They are so spunky! I love the red chair, but I think I like the "feel" of the first one:) Great shots, as always...Just curious.....do you ever take any not so great ones?? LOL Jk you don't have to answer that:)!
I really like the top one, the close up and all. Very cool. At one time these were my favorite dogs because they are just so dang cool.
