Scrapbooking specific series. POTD 6.21.07

I like scrapbooking photos that document an event in series. I can take 20 shots in a an action sequence and try to scrapbook them all! Now you know why I have to have 20GB of memory on me at all times;) My BIL rarely gets in photos, so I was thrilled to capture these at our Father's Day BBQ over the weekend. I was sitting in the grass with little A, helping him eat and looked over to find my BIL and nephew going at it with the plastic golf clubs. I think J was quite surprised at my nephew's strength with the club (check out his expressions...) After I got this series of photos, he quickly took the clubs away from S before he really hurt someone-like me for instance. I used the free action from atncentral.com for these photos, called Aly's BnW...I find it's a pretty good action, giving nice contrast. I did tweak it a tiny bit, bumping up the highlights slightly and deepening the shadows a tad. I found the color shots to be too distracting, taking away from the "action."

Oh, and for all that have been asking...we will find out the sex of baby "B" in 6 days! We are in the countdown mode for sure. It puts me at about 5.5 months along, although I'm honestly feeling like I'm about 8months. This is my 3rd pregnancy in 3years and my muscles are definitely being stretched much more quickly. I'm feeling pretty good, although the nausea has come back at night and I've got a metallic taste in my mouth all the time. I just keep telling myself it will come to end soon enough and I'm able to get through the days without too much trouble;)

these are really cute heather! and the conversion looks really great! I haven't played much with aly's bw, but i have it. i'll have to give it another try. does she have a warm tint to it?

also, the canvas from yesterday was 16x20 and then I used 5x5 squares. very easy. Thanks for your sweet compliments!

Good luck on your ultrasound. May the open leg gods be with you. LOL

I would love to see these shots in color. I'm not wild about the b&w because the clubs get lost in the fence IMHO. Also, had you not said they were plastic I would not have known. Color usually gives that away. I love the series, and I think it will make a terrific LO.

I'm excited for you to find out what the new little one is! Do you have names picked out or are you waiting to see what the sex is?
I'll cross my fingers for you, that the baby is in the right position for that ultrasound! LoL- Good Luck!

These are too funny. I love the facial expressions. Looks like they were having fun!

I can't wait to find out what you're having. You have to come up with some cute way of posting a hint to tell us. Wouldn't that be fun!

I love capturing a sequence of photos, too. You did a great job with this sequence - I love the interaction between the two of them. They are perfect in black and white.
