Want to play a "HAND"? POTD 7.3.07
I feel like being creative today, ever have those days? I just need to stretch myself and think a bit. So...being that it's hand week, what about a "hand" of cards? he/he...come play a hand with me. Ever heard of the game Liverpool? It's our families favorite game, consisting of 6 rounds of picking sets and runs. It gets really competitive, but it's really FUN! I don't win too often, but when I do, victory is sweet.
I had the chance to test out my new tripod today with these shots and can I just say...I LOVE it! I opted for the Manfrotto 725B, which is plenty for me. It's basic, but has a ball head and quick release and is super easy to navigate, set up and tear down. Such a big improvement from my WalMart special. I got it on ebay in case you wanted to know...there are tons of Manfrottos on there, in the price range of $75-$500+ I was really shocked at the selection.
Oh, and Cristina...if you're out there, I found a 16-35 2.8/L on ebay today for $999 with only an hour or so left. I looked at the bidding history and it was only a couple people bidding back and forth. I didn't even notice a reserve. If I'd had the money, I would have bought it for you...what a great price!!!

Clever Lady!!!!!!!! I love it. I'm jealous of you tripod. I'm still dealing with my own Walmart special. WAH!!!! I've never played Liverpool. The game of choice around these parts (midwest) is Euchre.

Great way to photograph the theme! I'd love to play ~ I hardly ever get to play card games ~ one of my faves is president. I need a new tripod soon, I'll keep that brand in mind! Question about your blog pics ~ they seem bigger than mine, and I would love to enlarge mine, but don't want to go through photobucket to do it!

Very creative Heather, I always look forward to seeing your posts when you say you're in a creative mood! Love the dof and crop on all of them, but the first one is my favorite. Glad to hear you like your manfrotto tripod, I love mine and they should last forever!
