A new year!
Here's to the challenges/successes that 2008 will bring! We will get through them one at a time, day by day. I'm not big on resolutions because I tend to break them rather quickly. But...I'm certainly not against goals, so here are a few of my goals for 2008.
1. Get in shape to run my first (hopefully not last) marathon. I've been wanting to do this for a couple years, but I've been pregnant for a good portion of the last 3!
2. Purchase a minivan. It may sound crazy, but our Jeep just isn't cutting it in the storage department.
3. Get back into my '3 year ago, pre-pregnancy' jeans. I'm done with being pregnant for a while (Lord willing) and feel I can finally work at that goal. I think training for the marathon should definitely help this goal along.
4. COOK MORE! I started cooking a few years ago and then, started getting too tired to have the energy. This year I have all these amazing cookbooks my DH gets from work and I want to try out about 1000 recipies. That should definitely get me motivated.
5. Write more cards vs emails. Don't get me wrong...I love email and technology, but there is nothing quite like a hand-written note/card and I have family/friends who would SO appreciate the effort.

6. Start the potty training journey with DS #1. I have been reading a lot on the subject lately and hope to put that to good use.
So....HATS OFF TO 2008!!

Heather, these are so fantastic! Very fresh looking, and that hat is to die for!
Good for you with the resolutions! I rarely make any, but decided that this is the year i get back to my old, skinny self. So, starting tomorrow morning the long, hard journey begins. I'm looking forward to the end result though.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
Great list of goals! You've inspired us all. Love the pictures, too - little A is a great subject.
what a cutie he is !!!!
May 2008 be a blessed one and you achieve all your resolutions and more !
oh how cute is he with his little hat! and great tie in with the title. your resolution list looks really good--and do-able too. good luck with it in the new year!
Love the colors in these. Cute hat too. My favorite food group! Good luck on the minivan. We broke down and got one after having Baby Number 3. I guess it is convenient as far as the room goes, but I really don't like it. I'm more of a car girl.
wow! I am impressed with your goal to do a marathon! that's great!!!!
as always, adorable pics of a....
leah
He is just TOO cute!!!
Great goals. Good luck.
What a creative and cute idea! I enjoyed reading your goals, I have a few myself I need to post. I'm getting back on the POTD bandwagon!
How cute! I love that hat! And I also love your color here....
Good luck to you with your goals!
Love your interpretation on the theme... Too cute! Nice goals, too. Dh ran a marathon a few years ago--it took a lot of work and prep., but it's something he's very proud of. Kudos to you!!
About the minivan-- I drove one for a really long time. With kids in carseats, you just can't beat them! Now I drive a suburban--but everyone can buckle themselves. Good luck with all of your goals--I look forward to seeing your progress!
Happy 08!
Love the hat. Drew is getting so big, it's fun to watch him grow as our year(s)! together go on.
He's so cute! I LOVE THAT HAT!
I never make resolutions and I did this year. Running is one of mine too...YAY I'm not alone.
Beautiful shots - your color is amazing!
re: the minivan, I resisted getting one for a long time but as soon as we got it, it was a "must have"! So much more room, ease of nursing in comfort, can fit in a whole sheet of drywall (well, that is my dh's thing). :-)
Great photos and great goals!
Cari
