I admit defeat, now HELP!

Welcome to my home! Well...at least my living room. I'm in need of some help. Do you see the pic and vase above the fireplace? I love that picture and vase, but need something on the other side of the frame and am stumped! I've tried topiaries/candles/vases and the like and am just clueless as to why I like nothing I select. I figured it would request some help from my family/friends. If this were your room, what would you do? Please ignore the toys and the photos, I just wanted to give you a little idea of what you're up against.

Beautiful room! Hmmm that's a tough one, I would probably stagger 2-3 round pillar candles (the thick ones) of varying heights... but candles are always my go-to when I don't know what else to do!!

maybe you could do a candle with a darker wood candle holder.

Hey I love your home, wish I could be there in person to see it though!Ok here are my ideas for you...I know how much you love the willow tree angels you could get a nice pedastal, or decorate your own pedastal, and put a willow tree angel/figurine on top of it, or put a colorful candel on the pedastal. OR...you could get a black faceless figurine...like the people on the necklace you have Heather...they have really large ones like that, and put it there...you can find them at ross, tjmax, marshalls etc.

What about a large square framed photo of something minimalistic in black in white or something...like a shell, or a flower, just something simple so it doesn't take away from the large colorful painting and doesn't clash. Maybe a black a black frame too.

Since I come from Maine aren't you surprised and impressed that I didn't offer up some encouragement to put a stuffed, formerly alive squirrel up there? ;)

Beautiful... The only thing I can think of is to be
asymetrical and scoot the artwork more to the left just a tad, to off center the whole thing. Then you wont need anything else. Maybe?? maybe not?

I don't think my house has ever been that clean. And if it has, it wouldn't stay that way long enough for me to take a picture.

And trust me, you don't want advice from me for decorating your house... The results could be frightening!

Your home is beautiful. Maybe you could find a small slim lamp. Maybe something a little older with some history to it. Look at a flea market or if all eles fails go to Kirklands. They have all types of cool lamps.

Alright I am the worst at this.. I think it looks great, but you are right there should be something else.

Nice home. As for the ideas I am going to leave that to the professionals to give you help. Our last house took me 2 years to get curtains hung up only because my mom got tired of seeing the newspaper glued yes glued to the window and she bought them and this new house 10 months later not a thing up but we have miniblinds oh thats right the blinds came inside the window. By the way its not a money thing its a well I have no clue thing

You need a bobble head. Really big. Your choice who...

I would try candles at different levels or a single vase with twigs to give it some texture.

Can you come decorate my house? I'll let you leave out an accessory or two if mine could look more put together!

P.S. We got the styrofoam sword from some Dollar Store type place but I have since seen some at Toys R Us too. We've had it for over a year now.
