Feeling "HAPPY"
Here are just a few pics from our day at the Happy Apple Farm. Eventhough it was not the ideal weather conditions to go apple picking, I was determined to get a few shots in for the family scrapbook.
Here, DH and his mom are "posing" for the camera. They are definitely used to that by now I'd say...
I love it when pumpkins are actually still on the vines to be picked, rather in large bins outside of WalMart. This patch was huge and we got some great pumpkins.
Although the berries may appear to look delicious, they were as sour/bitter as can be. Just thinking about me makes my lips pucker.
I have never picked apples from a tree before and my FIL pointed out NOT to pick the ones with worm holes. Amazing what you don't think about. Can you see the hole on this one?

Ok, the last three have a funny story to them. We have only given Andrew bites of apple without the skins so far and he normally turns his nose at them. At the farm they had all sorts of sizes of apples and we were encouraged to taste them throughout our picking. I had 2 little apples sitting on the stroller , thinking they would make good baking apples. Andrew picked one up and after studying it for a bit, used his teeth to bite into it. It was the funniest thing! He then started macking on it and soon, finished the entire apple-seeds and all. He went on to finish the second after that. Guess he was in the apple mood even if mom was not.
