"BOKS!"

One of my favorite things to do with A is play BOKS! It can occupy his active toddler mind for at least 20minutes, which is music to my ears.

First...he dumps the bag so ALL the blocks are on the floor. Truthfully I think this is his favorite part.
There are 26 total-one for every letter.

P is for penguin (where daddy works.)
I am going to use these to help teach his letters, but for now...he likes to study his own way.
He likes to stack the blocks then knock them down, over and over and over again!

All that playing gets him tired.

Oh, and just to stay on theme...here is a before and after shot of one of his semi-nutritional snacks. I bumped the curves and added a soft light layer at a low opacity.

All of these were taken with my macro 100mm lens. It was being neglected so I dusted it off. Thank you for all the comments about the texture, the biggest thing I've learned is to put the texture on a soft light layer, not overlay. It does not mess with the colors as much that way. I have Leah's texture action, but I've also gotten a bunch of free texture Jpegs off textureking.com

We've got the peek-a-blocks, too, but several sets of them so my girls build these RIDICULOUS towers when we play. They're the cutest little things. . . as is your son! :)

These are beautiful photos! I love how colorful and creative they are! I really appreciate your explaining more how you used the textures. And the "nutritious" snack, after, is a wonderful improvement over the "before."

Hurray for anything that can occupy a toddler! These "boks" look like fun and a toy that will be played with for several years. I like the full frame of cereal, nice color. Thanks for the tips on textures.

Those are some cute BOKS. I always liked piling up and smashing block towers with my kids, too. I never had to use my imagination :-) Love the cereal, too. Adding to my list of macro things to photograph.
