Others first

This is Penny (named because of her coloring.) We've been dog-sitting for a week, with one more to go. She's a very good dog, but let me tell you...it's definitely an adjustment to my routine. It's easy to get frusturated and annoyed, but I have to remember she's a dog away from her home and may need to be a little clingy. I have to remember she may not do her business quickly when there's 6inches of snow outside. I have to remember that it's probably difficult for her to eat her dog food when there's a toddler playing in her dish. I have to remember to focus on her *sigh.* It's been a good wake up call for me. I have to remember to focus on others' needs, not just my own.

ISO 640, SS 1/15, Ap 2.8.

Life with a dog can get crazy. She's adorable though, probably helps make up for her getting under foot in the kitchen. : ) Great photos, her eyes look amazing.

Heather...the train tracks are the wooden Brio ones. We gave him his first little zoo set at 15 months and he's been in LOVE ever since. The track was a simple oval and he would sit on the floor pushing the trains around the circle, studying how the wheels worked, taking the track apart and trying to put it back together... I bet little A would love for you to set up a small track and have at it!

Im dieing over these! Oh my gosh, these are fantastic! Wouldnt it be great if you did a storyboard of these for her owner? I am clueless about the cost of that, but I would die if this was my dog (in a good way :) And I must say, everytime I come to your blog, your blog banner makes me smile, waht a darling family!

Awww she is so sweet! I have puppy fever bad, but I know I don't have the time (or energy) to focus on one. Thanks for the reminder.

What gorgeous captures! That is so sweet of you to take care of her. It is not easy, especially when they aren't yours, but I know doggies have a really hard time being away from home/family. These are just especially awesome.

Guess you won't be adding a dog to your household soon if you can look at those gorgeous puppy dog eyes and not want to keep her :-) I love the way you captured her. Awesome focus on her eyes.
Too bad we didn't live closer together, Heather. I'd teach you to knit and you could teach me how to crochet.
